The Student Disability Access Center (SDAC) is the University of Virginia’s designated access agency for students with disabilities. We support UVA students – undergrad, grad, pre-professional - in the work of creating access to the full University experience.

In addition to creating courses that fulfill the learning objectives of the department and school, there is an added requirement of creating a course that is not only accessible to students with disabilities, but also incorporate pedagogy that is inclusive to students regardless of background, experiences, and customs.

Report A Barrier (RAB) is an online tool allowing students, faculty, staff, and guests of the University to report barriers to access encountered while navigating the Grounds and its facilities, attending a UVA sponsored event, in the academic setting, or when accessing our online environment. The RAB Review Team is the group of individuals who respond to the barriers identified through this tool. Membership includes representatives from the Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights, the Office of the Executive Vice President & Provost, Facilities Management, Parking & Transportation, Information Technology Services, Athletics, Intramural and Recreational Sports, and the Student Disability Access Center.
