Accessibility Allies are individuals (students, faculty, and staff) who take an intentional role in promoting disability awareness and inclusion on Grounds by learning about the history of disability civil rights, the resources available on Grounds, and disability inclusive and respectful communication.

Our chapter upholds the mission of Best Buddies by matching UVA students in one-to-one friendships with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from the Charlottesville community.

UTS OnDemand is a fare-free van shuttle service that provides rides for University community members to areas in and around Grounds during overnight hours. 

The Student Disability Access Center (SDAC) strives to promote a culture of access and inclusion for students with disabilities across all academic programs and University services. 

The University of Virginia and the Department of Parking & Transportation is committed to providing accessible services for students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors of the University.

The University Library provides a variety of services and equipment in support of the research needs of individuals with disabilities. Please ask for information on assistance retrieving materials or providing specialized study arrangements.

UVA Rec offers a variety of programs, services and spaces where our students, faculty and staff feel welcome and safe, can find meaningful connections and develop all dimensions of wellness (social, intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual, financial and occupational) that enrich the learning, living, teaching and working experiences at UVA.

The University of Virginia’s Office of Major Events manages Finals Weekend and other special events intended for a University-wide audience and offers services for persons with disabilities and/or limited mobility during Finals Weekend.

DART is an on-demand, fare-free, curb-to-curb paratransit service for UVA students and employees, who, due to a disability, are not able to use University Transit Service (UTS), UVA's fixed-route transit system. DART operates whenever UTS academic routes are in service.
